CtK Bible Studies
“The entrance of God’s word gives light.” Psalm 119
In practical terms, what does it mean to lean not on our own understanding, but to trust in God and His ways?
Christians answer this question by talking about the Bible.
While God is revealed in the beauty of the natural world, He reveals Himself most clearly and profoundly through Holy Scripture—the Old and New Testaments. Scripture tells us the story of God’s creative and redemptive acts in history, culminating in the incarnation of God in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. In short: in Jesus, we meet God—and in Scripture, we meet Jesus most clearly.
This is why it is incredibly important to know what the Bible says and to understand its meaning.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5–6)
Bounded Bible Studies at CtK
Because Scripture is so important, CtK offers a series of bounded Bible studies throughout the year.
A bounded Bible study is one that runs for a set length of time—often between four and eight weeks.
Each study is:
Taught by someone with the gift of teaching (Romans 12:6–8)
Diligently prepared, with the goal of delivering quality content
Designed to honor your time—we don’t want to waste it
Some Bible studies are offered for women, others for men, and some in a co-ed format. In some cases, a coffee or tea service will be available. Occasionally, breakfast may be offered for early morning studies.
When to Join
These studies are typically offered at several points throughout the year:
Late Summer (August into early September)
Advent (the weeks leading up to Christmas, beginning after Thanksgiving)
Lent (often in February and March)
All studies are advertised in advance and open to anyone.
Bring a Bible. Bring a friend.
