Sundays
What to Expect
“Do not neglect to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:25)
We gather each Sunday in gladness to worship the Lord, remembering the resurrection of Jesus on the first day of the week. For nearly 2,000 years, Christians have gathered this way—and we’re honored to carry on that tradition.
Most Sundays, we offer two services:
• 8:30am (traditional)
• 10:45am (contemporary)
Occasionally, we hold a single combined service at 10am so the whole church can worship together. Our weekly email and social media will keep you updated.
There’s plenty of on-site parking. After parking, head to the rear of the campus where you’ll find our new sanctuary.
About Our Services
8:30am – Traditional Service
This service uses a traditional Anglican liturgy in contemporary language. The music consists of traditional hymns accompanied by an organ or piano, and we also have a harpist. Communion is nearly always served. You may dress as you feel most comfortable. Khakis and polos are as acceptable as coat and tie.
10:45am – Contemporary Service
Both the service and the music are contemporary. Music is led by a praise team involving guitars, a piano, and sometimes even drums, tambourines, or a cello. Communion is generally served 4 out of 5 Sundays and in certain seasons of the year there is an opportunity for individual prayer ministry. Dress as you feel comfortable. Most dress casually. It’s not unusual to find adults and children in shorts during the summer; likewise, it is not uncommon to see sports coats and dresses throughout the year.
Children’s Ministry (10:45 Service Only)
We offer age-specific classrooms for gospel ministry to children during the 10:45am service:
• Toddlers (6 months to age 2)
• Pre-school (ages 3–5)
• Elementary (1st–5th grade)
Middle schoolers and older children are encouraged to remain with their parents in the service.
Parents are always welcome to keep children with them. If your child gets a little loud—that’s okay! If they become especially fussy, we invite you to step into the atrium to settle them before returning.
The Learner’s Exchange
Between our two Sunday services, we host a time for Christian learning and discussion called the Learner’s Exchange, which is one of our pastorates. The Learner’s Exchange starts around 9:45am and runs for about 45 minutes.
Each session features a talk with space for Q&A, covering a wide range of topics:
Old and New Testament studies
Church history and theology
Christian ethics and spiritual formation
Coffee and light refreshments are provided. We meet in the main classroom of the Old School House, located on the CtK campus.
