“Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”(Galatians 6:2)

 Pastoral Care

At Christ the King, we take pastoral and spiritual care seriously. We are a family—and part of that means looking out for one another, especially in seasons of need or vulnerability. We also care deeply about each person’s growth in the knowledge and love of Jesus.

There are two primary forms of pastoral care we offer:

Care for Physical, Mental, or Emotional Struggles

If you’re going through a hard season—facing surgery, illness, depression, anxiety, loneliness, or becoming homebound—we’re here to support you.

A member of our Pastoral Care Team can coordinate a visit to:

  • Listen

  • Pray with you

  • Bring Holy Communion (if desired)

To request care, contact Deacon Skip Reitmeier, who oversees this ministry.

Spiritual Conversation and Prayer with a Priest

Sometimes what’s needed is simply someone to talk to—a space to process, pray, or seek spiritual guidance.

Our clergy are available to meet with anyone—whether you’re working through a theological question, a moral concern, or something more personal. All conversations are confidential.

So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory (1 Peter 5)
