Pastorates
Building Friendships in Christ
At Christ the King, Pastorates create space for connection, learning, laughter, and friendship rooted in Christ. These mid-sized groups (ranging from 15–50 people) gather every 4–8 weeks in homes, on campus, or at local spots around town.
Some are co-ed, while others are just for men or women. What they all share is a purpose:
to help people grow in Christ through friendship, intentional conversation, teaching, and shared life.

Current Pastorates at CtK
The Learner’s Exchange
This pastorate meets more regularly than most others, given that it is hosted on the vast majority of Sundays each year between our two Sunday services, starting around 9:45am and running for about 45 minutes. Each session features a talk with space for Q&A, covering a wide range of topics:
Old and New Testament studies
Church history and theology
Christian ethics and spiritual formation
Coffee and light refreshments are provided. We meet in the main classroom of the Old School House, located on the CtK campus.
The King’s Men
For men in the church and their friends. Meets quarterly for supper and a guest speaker, plus service days in the fall and spring at Carolina Human Reinvestment, helping maintain the community garden.
The King’s Ladies
For women in the church and their friends. Meets quarterly for supper with a guest speaker and supports Young Lives, a ministry that walks alongside single moms.
PYC Group (Parents of Young Children)
Meets 5–6 times a year for food, conversation, prayer, and encouragement around the joys and challenges of parenting.
Power Hour Prayer Group

The Original Pawleys Supper Club
Meets monthly for a meal, conversation, and games.
The New Pawleys Supper Club
Also meets monthly - same great vibe, different circle of people.
The Rivendale Supper Club
